Happy New 2012 to everyone!! Sorry I have not post in a while, but I have experienced some health issues. Due to that, I need to take some time away, just for a little bit, but I will try to keep you up to date on my professional career, so stay tuned. Please, contact me with any questions. I will continue designing just a little, and some of my pieces will be available at a variety of boutiques throughout Utah, and that will hopefully be soon. I want to thank to all of those kind people out there, that I met this year, for their smiles, and for their genuine caring, optimism, and honesty, and I want to tell my old friends, and family, how much I love them, how much I appreciate their prayers and nice thoughts for me, always, not just in the celebrations.

I also want to thank my customers for their business, and specially, I want to thank God for allowing me to pursue my dreams and continue to work hard at building a solid reputation, to offer my best services, to continue learning, and mostly, for having integrity, and for allowed me to associate with people who share my values, are honest, and do not take advantage of others.

Thank you for the opportunities that you give me, to learn from my mistakes, and to grow, and to learn more.

I will continue to follow my heart, in every decision I made, not because it is popular among a group of people, but because, I know it is right.

Faith is so beautiful and elegant, and easy to work with. I simply love this kind of models that follow direction, advise and are so easy to work with, and the best part of the whole thing, we always end up having so much fun in the photo shoots!!
I also designed the white gown just for her!! (I had to do some adjustments to my design, but nobody else could have worn that dress the way Faith did, she looked so gorgeous in it!!)

I met Michelle about 2 years ago, and I could see that she definitely needed better photographs for her modeling portfolio. After just the first photo shoot with me, many doors opened for Michelle and many opportunities came her way, and I am very happy for her.
She was my muse, and I went all out to design a few pieces of jewelry and clothing for her. I found gorgeous locations and makeup, and I created different looks and styles for her. We even got stuck in the mud in one of the photo shoots, and she was so calm, posing near gigantic spiders, ( Isn't she the perfect model?) I have worked with so many models, and yet, Michelle remains one of my favorite ones. (I am sure you can tell since I have many of her photos all over :)

From the very beginning I knew the potential she had, and she is so smart, that she is creating a very diversified professional portfolio. After our interaction, she decided to go to beauty school in California, and she is working as a professional makeup artist and hair stylist now.
I wish Michelle the best in life, professionally and personally. She is so gorgeous, yet, uncomplicated, and easy to work with, besides she is so young, and she has so much to contribute.

A few years ago, I hired this girl for a few hours to do some paid, modeling job for me. I asked her if she ever modeled before and she said no. She was a natural at posing, and I "advised" her mother about the potential this little girl had as a model. I guess she listened because today, little "Ginnie" is signed up with a modeling agency. She has the most angelical, sweet, singing voice out there!! (I am glad her mom took my advised!)

An update on the copyright infridgement, and something positive!!!

I just heard from a friend, and something very wise was shared.
Yes the economy may be slow, however, if someone does not owns either the banks or anyone else, then, there is not a lot of worry. Moral of the story: "Don't bite more than what you can shew" Even Simpler: Don't buy on credit the 2010 corvette you can't afford, just to show off and keep up with the Smith's next door"
(Most likely, the Smith's won't pay your bills, nor will bailed you out if you default from the monthly payments one day, or if you have to declare bankruptcy)
Coincidently, I list my small, home base business a an "entity" (according to the dictionary, "an entity, is describe as a single entity being, creature, individual, organism, life form; person; body, object, article, thing.) because that is what it is. (I run it all by myself)
However, all the equipment is mine, and I do not owe the bank any money. I have been growing slow but steady, but mostly, my business reputation is one that has been build on a solid rock, based on the way I carry myself and my business dealing: With integrity and truth. Yes, there have been some rocks on the route, but I just kicked those rocks out of the way, and continue on my way. (the copyright infringement incident was one of those)
Everything that I have have and the skills I have developed, make my company what it is, and it has taken, it takes and it will take a lot of effort and hard work, to continue to grow, and I am up to the challenge, so, Bless me God!!
There are so many new and great things coming up...I am really excited, but you'll just have to wait...for the details...!!!
In regards to the copyright infringement incident, after I asked the model so many times to remove the photos, and after so much ignoring from her part, and after I paid the lawyer to force that lady to remove the photos, and finally after so many of my valuable time was spent pursuing this matter, this model sent me an e-mail this morning, telling me that my "entity" (yes, that's what I called it, because that's what it is. I completely manage it myself) is not looking good right now, and it will not look good, because I am letting the public, specially photographers, openly know, what she, the model did to me. She also goes into saying that some photographers have told her that, that my entity looks bad. She also tells me, I should stop.
I received an e-mail message from who knows who, with a link, (of course I do not open links from almost anyone) and a message telling me that some photographer, (yes name and website of the supposedly photographer was given) who has the best porn photos out there...coincidently, this happenned right after I reported the infringement.
On March 18, 2020, my account with the modeling website was hacked. Since I do not have very private information posted in there, I do not worry so much, except I worry that whomever did this, tried to commit any acts of crime using my account. (The great part about all of this is that I have been documenting a lot of details, and I am contacting the right authorities, and yes, there are ways to find out who did it)
By the way, I have gotten so much feed back from other professional photographers and models, that appreciate the information I have posted. I have receive a lot of encouragement, and support from even strangers that do not know me very well, but mostly I have been getting a lot of support from customers and friends that know what I am all about and know my work ethic, and mostly, from customers with whom I have worked repeatedly, because they appreciate and respect my work.
In regards to this last e-mail from that model, honestly, I just can't believe some people!!!!...
I have all the documentation, I have all the proof I have all the dates. Nothing that I have said is misleading nor untrue...mmmm...Oh my holy cow! an idea just came through my head!!! What if I stop being so nice, and I post all of that information in here, including her name and the paperwork she signed?

Intellectual Property-Copyright Infringement

Recently a model, which we did a free trade for CD, but without the copyright release given to her, decided that manipulating our photos and posting them without the copyright notice in a local Modeling Agency's website, without asking for our permission first was just fine. (She signed the agreement prior to the photo shoot, and she agreed to the conditions of the trade, where it specifically said, the images could not be manipulated or posted anywhere without the copy right notice) however, she disregarded the agreement, and our manipulated images were posted without the copyright sign and of course, proper credit was not given to Portraits By Nedelka. Just to clarify something. When you paid for your photos, the copyright release is given to you, because you paid for our products, and you can do whatever you want with them, (that's why a CD cost you more than printed photographs, so, if you really like our work, then pay for it, like most of our customers do!!) In this case, first of all, we sought legal advised. Second, we contacted the modeling agency, who immediately removed all photographs from their website, and they assured me, they were not aware those photograph's copyright were mine. Among other things, I removed all of her photos from our website, from this blog, and from another modeling website we subscribe to. Third, since this model "actively broke the terms of the agreement", which is copyright infringement, we contacted the model, and asked her to remove our photographic work from any place in the Internet she might have it, and we also asked her not to make our work available to any third party, either via electronic media or print. Fourth, we may have to pursue this further if she does not comply with our request, therefore, we may not be able to comment anymore regarding this situation. We already posted information about copyright before, however, due to this incident, we need to remind everyone that comes in contact with our business about the following: Please, keep in mind that we do enforce what we had said in our blog about intellectual property, and also, keep in mind that we do check everywhere, to make sure people comply with the agreements they signed. All the images under my website and blog are copyright protected (DO NOT COPY AND PASTE, DO NOT DRAG ANY PHOTOS FROM OUR BLOG!!) All violators of this federal law will be subject to criminal and civil penalties. We are a serious and honest business entity. We will prosecute to the full extend of the law, anyone that will intent to use our images, specially those people, who will try to manipulate our photos in any way, form, or post our images in any websites, without our permission, specially "adult content only" websites, or people who try to hurt our good intentions, business image and reputation, as well as that of our models, by associating those websites with Portraits By Nedelka, or posting images taken by us in those websites. We will not tolerate any abuse towards ourselves and others, so, beware, if you chose to ignore this, you will be responsible for all of our legal and court costs, included and not limited to attorney's fees, if we need to enforce it by court law!! We are very nice, and we will continue to offer trades with selected individuals, as long as you keep the agreements, but please, do not be abusive. In a happier and more positive note, we never had this kind of situation before, and the models before and after this one, either paid contracts or trades, have been very honest with us. Before they signed the "Adult Model Agreement", and Use of Our Photographs" papers, everybody asks questions, just to make sure we are in the same page. I just want to ask everyone, customers, friends, and family, to contact me, whenever they see any of my photos published, either in print or by electronic media, anywhere, in the Internet, or in a modeling, scouting, or talent agency's place of business, specially if someone else is claiming to be the intellectual author of my work. I have ways of checking and verifying some information, and I also have contacts checking for me. That's how I was able to find out that model had posted my photographs in the modeling agency's website. I wanted to share this with you, you can never be too careful, and this information is valuable. It does not matter what type of artist you are, or what type of craftsmanship you do. As the author you own the copyright, the intellectual property is yours, and people need to respect that. If they don't, then you need to fight for your rights, and make people respect you. By doing so, you are helping others, that can becomes victims of that type of abuse if you don't do anything about it. Besides, if you are not are going to defend what is yours, what you created, then who is going to? I would like to think that as a craftsman your work is valuable, and of great worth to you, and you are very proud of it, so it would be only obvious to defend it as such.

As we were trying to decide the winner of our free Glamour Makeover Photography session, we came across a magazine that featured an article on Soroptimist International/Utah Chapter. This happened a couple of weeks before their fund-raiser, and we decided to donate them our free makeover and glamor session, so they could include that in their auction. Now, the reason behind our decision: I was a little bit over the age of 15, paying my way through junior high school with my art, and keeping up with scholarships. I was also working for this lady, who was a member of Soroptimist International, in the city of David, Republic of Panama. I did a mural painting in her porch, and she liked my work so much, she recommended me to Soroptimist, to do a commission work for them. Soroptimist had donated a mural painting, to a rehabilitation center for children with special needs, and they wanted me to do the mural. This was one of my major artist jobs as a young artist, and one of the first ones, where I was paid more than I was expected to receive. It took me about 2 weeks to complete the mural, on the fence, around the center. I met very wonderful people, and I interact with a lot of the children there. The children were fascinated and very happy, I was doing all of those colorful and happy drawings, and they specially liked the part where I took all of the paintings out, and there were splash of colors almost everywhere...on the ground!! I also met architects that were working on different projects to renovate the center, and teachers that work at the center, and I got feed back from them on my work, but specially on education issues. Everybody liked my work, and everybody encouraged me to continue studying, and pursuing art. After the mural was completed, and the center renovated, there was a very nice ribbon cutting ceremony, and a Gala celebration. I was able to meet and mingle with the Mayor of the city of David, the Director of the school, the Governor, and various members of Soroptimist Panama, including the President of the organization, and they all were very nice to me, and they all appreciated and were grateful for the contribution I made to their cause. Now, it is only natural that so many years after my experience was Soroptimist International, I reciprocate, in a way, what they did for me back them. The opportunity they gave me, considering I was so young, and considering there were more well known and established artists to choose from, meant a lot to me, and all the good feed back and encouragement I received from Soroptimist, and from people I met because of them, was of such an impact, that it solidified my love for school and for the arts, my love for people, and mainly, it solidified my believe in helping people, not because you are giving something, but because you are helping someone feel good about themselves, and when you feel good about yourself, you feel powerful, and you feel and believe great things can and will be accomplished, and know Soroptimist International is an organization that believes in the potential of people, specially women. I know Soroptimist International is a great organization, and that's the reason I choose them as the winner of the free makeover session. Scholarship Beauty Pageants

So yesterday we did this 30 minutes, 3 wardrobe speedy photo shoot with the beautiful Jessica LeClaire Hudgins!! Thanks to the beautiful nature, and to the always so truly beautiful Jessica, the photos came out just perfect!! I handed out half of the photos this morning to her, while we met with another beautiful girl, Michelle. Jessica came over to help with a video production for Michelle. I am a Photographer, not a Videographer, and I don't even own a Video Camera. Jessica owns one and she was willing to come over an help with the video production. I introduced both girls to each other, and I told Michelle, Jessica would be doing the video, since she was familiar with her own video camera, and specially because we only had a few minutes to do the video. I just sat back, gave a little bit of feed back, and just enjoyed the two of them interact. As Jessica has been in a lot of pageants since she was very young, she was given a lot of useful advise to Michelle. Michelle listened to Jessica, and did as she was told. It was great to see Jessica sharing the knowledge she has with Michelle. (They looked like 2 sisters to me, and I could not helped it but think that both of them could actually be my daughters!!) For a moment I saw how vulnerable both of them were, so young, and so eager to learn and to do better, to improve, wanting to be the best they can be, just as I did a while back... There were 3, 90 second takes, and we were done. After that, I suggested they exchange numbers, and they actually had to do it to follow up on the video shoot. I left and I noticed how the two of them were very comfortable talking to each other, and hopefully a new, great friendship was evolving!! As I was driving back home, I was very happy both of us, Jessica and I were able and willing to help Michelle, who is a new, and aspiring model. I was also happy I was able to get this two women acquainted, because they are both so hard-working, smart, and they both have clear goals of what they want to accomplish, even thought they are still very young. When Jessica called me a couple of days ago, wanting to have new photos taken of her, I did not know she had won one of the local competitions, and because of that, she will be competing in the next Miss Utah, which will take place next June, 2010. Jessica is so busy, and I don't get to see or to talk to her all the time, however, she is involved with fund-raisers, volunteering, and training. I just hope Jessica the best, and hopefully she gets the title of Miss Utah next year. She is such a great role model to follow, has a positive outlook in life, besides being very physically fit, and beautiful, she is a nice person, alway trying to make people feel better about themselves. Scholarship pageants are a great way to help young women better themselves, besides all of the things the girls learn regarding physical and spiritual well being, the girls also receive scholarship money to pay for some of the school related expenses. I was about 15 or 16 years old when I also entered my first ever Scholarship pageant. I got 2nd place, and that was good enough for me. I was able to meet with representatives, mayors, and I was able to represent my school and my community, and to be a role model for other young girls. Besides that, I was able to raise money for the school, and I was able to voice concerns regarding community, and school needs, and able to see how some issues I brought up to politicians were addressed and changed for the good of the community. What I liked most about the whole experience was the fact, that from that moment on, my reputation was on the line, and because of that, I tried to live my life in such a way, that people could only say good things about me, because of my actions, and because those people looked up to me, and because I knew people wanted to know what I was doing, and if my actions were good and honorable. Today, many years after those Pageant years, it is still, very important to me, that I keep my word, and that I do good and honorable things, not because people are watching, but because I owe it to my self and to the people that always trusted me, and trust me to do good. I am very grateful I was able to participate in such events, and to learn all of the things I learned, and to accomplished all the things I accomplished as a person, and I am so thankful, I was able to help my community and my school. I am also grateful for all the opportunities I had, and I have everyday, to met and meet such wonderful people yesterday and today, to have offered and to offer advise to others, and to be able to continue helping people today, even if it is a little help, and even if it is in a very small way.
